“Two Band” Pattern, Footed Two-Handled Spooner/Mug. Collectible Antique Victorian Era Clear Glass.
EAPG item is a large spooner in the No. 200 pattern, also known as "Two Band". It was produced by Doyle & Co. (later U.S. Glass Co. Factory D) circa the 1880s, Pittsburgh. Also referred to as "Cross Bands" or "Trophy" glass due to its design
The “Two Band" pattern has two ornamental bands of connected hexagonal designs near the top rim and another band near the footed base.
Two "log formed" handles on the sides.
As well as a footed, pedestal base.
The spooner, or spoon holder, was a common item in Victorian dining settings, used to keep spoons on the table or sideboard as a sign of hospitality and status. Also can be used as an open sugar bowl or a celery vase.
