On offer is this wonderful vintage ceramic wall hanging plate. Made in Norway in the mid-century era by Arnold Wiggs Fabrikker, which operated between 1943 and 1977. It features a skute ship surrounded by sea birds. This Norwegian plate has a squared circular, slightly concave form and a matte black background, similar to 'black basalt wares'. The detail of the ship is glossy and glazed in high relief which creates a three-dimensional enameled-like effect. The plate is in all-around lovely condition. Ready to hang on the wall or place on a dresser.
