wonderful item created 40 years ago and featuring 8 different rooms over two storeys. Hours of fun for children and adults! The pop-up furniture and fixtures were made as the book was manufactured and the cut-out figures and props are still intact and unused on their original card (see last photo).
The blue ribbons on the side can be tied when you fully open the book which creates a dramatic effect. In very fine condition with tremendous detailing: there are realistic drawings of umbrellas in the vestibule, copper pans in the kitchen and even a servant’s bell. Very Downton Abbey!
