A wonderful Hopi silver overlay pin depicting a turtle or tortoise The design is finely cut out of the top sheet of silver and contrasts against the oxidized textured background. The diamond shaped turquoise stone is flush set and acts as the perfect accent to a superior design. The pin measures 1 3/8" from nose to tail tip and is 1" at the widest. Unmarked, but tests as sterling and weighs 5.8 grams. In very nice vintage condition.
