John Dove (born in Norwich, England, 1943 – ) and Molly White (born 1944 – ), a textile designer, formed an art unit in London in 1964. They are also known to have influenced Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren, who are said to be the proponents of the PUNK MOVEMENT. In 1968, they produced full-graphic T-shirts and jackets under the name "WONDER WORKSHOP". Later, in 1976, they opened the shop "KITSCH-22" and launched the cult brand "MODZART". Their works were worn in performances by various artists who symbolized the 70s, such as Iggy Pop, Marc Bolan, Mick Jagger, Lou Reed, Sid Vicious, and Paul McCartney, and are now exhibited and collected in museums and galleries around the world, including the Victoria and Albert Museum (U.K.) and the TextielMuseum (Netherlands). Since 2009, they have been exhibiting drawings and collages at the PAUL STOLPER GALLERY (London), as well as a collection of works in which art works printed on T-shirts from the 60s and 70s are printed on special paper recycled from vintage T-shirts. In recent years, they have been reproducing fashion items they have produced in the past as art works, and in 2013, they reproduced the "Iggy Pop Jacket" and "Strawberry Jacket" with Lewis Leathers and NOAVENUE PROJECT at the Comme des Garçons Trading Museum.
