I purchased this lead melter brand new from an international seller for $95 hoping to be able to use it to make my own fishing lead sinkers, but i was unaware that it required a 3 prongs 220-volt plug, which had to be purchased separately. Since I don't have a 220-volt setup on my fuse box at home, I attached a 3 prongs 110 volt plug just to test it. It powers up and heats up, but the 110-volt plug didn't provide the necessary power for it to heat hot enough to melt the lead fast enough. So I ended up setting it aside until deciding what to do with it, but then ended up buying a different model that's 110-volt and compatible with my fuse box. It's the reason why I decided to sell this 220-volt melter since I no longer need it & won't be using it.
