This exquisite brooch is expertly and solidly crafted in the style of Hobe or Haskell, but it is unmarked and has not been verified.
It is in excellent vintage condition, the only flaw being a slightly bent pin. Please see the photographs.
It is circa 1955-60.
The fuschia colored chrysanthemum-type flower is filled with multi-faceted aurora borealis glass beads, anchored in goldtone posts and surrounding a central rhinestone. A goldtone bowl cups the beads, its edges forming sepals.
The ribbon on the stem is formed with tiny red rhinestones. There is a single navette rhinestone bud coming off the goldstone stem.
This would be a stunning addition to any collection.
