One of the nicest Gobi Eye Agates that I have ever seen in person. This specimen is all natural. Not dyed or enhanced in any way. The polish is natural caused by years of water flowing over the crystal. Both sides are unique, interesting and aesthetic in their own right.
One side reminds me of a Celestial landscape while the other side is reminiscent of a Buddhist monk in meditation. Its hard not to fall in love with this piece especially when seen in person. A 10 out of 10 in my humble opinion.
Metaphysically speaking Gobi Eye Agates have a long and rich history steeped in mysticism. Long thought to be sacred talismans of protection. It is possible that the original belief in the evil eye symbol, often seen in places like Turkey and Greece, originated from the Eye Agate. There is evidence dating back to paleolithic times of these agates being used or worn ornamentally by people. They are stones of protection, good luck, prosperity, inner strength & wisdom
