"TOYS McCOY MFG. CO. "TYPE L-2A". Based on vintage originals, it faithfully reproduces the original nylon fabric with a strong weave and luster, as well as the wool and nylon nap back interlining.
It's a rare green rib version even among vintage items. The aviation platoon belonging to the 24th Infantry Division Artillery of the US Army was engaged in a wide variety of missions, mainly observation and photography from the air, reconnaissance, and night illumination.
This L-2A is customized based on their activities during the Korean War. The embroidered patch on the right chest is a redesign featuring Tom & Jerry, celebrating their 80th anniversary this year.
The 24th Artillery Division patch replaces the A.F. decal on the left shoulder. The reflector tape on the back and shoulders uses rare deadstock material."
