This is a beautiful Compact with mirror, and still has makeup and sponge in it. The top is silver, the actual box has a gold tone. Everything I’ve researched suggests this is a vintage compact from Italy with enamel and 800 silver. There is some verdigris, which I’m more than happy to clean off, but I didn’t want to affect the piece - please note, I can’t see an 800 marking. Just let me know if you want me to clean it. This is an estate sale piece, and does show wear (I wouldn’t use the sponge or the make-up…just saying).
