Winter Wonderland Decorative Ostrich Egg - Marlene Almar 1987

This ostrich egg rests upon a ceramic base and adorned with gold borders. Inside this impressive sized egg is a winter wonderland scene complete with covered bridge over a frozen creek for ice skating. Snow dripped trees, a horse drawn sleigh and deer can also be seen. To add to the winter theme, it is also a music box and plays "Winter Wonderland".

There is also a tag attached to the egg that reads "The giving of decorated eggs has been an important tradition in the Old World for many years. The Egg, symbolizing the source of life, is given to express the love and friendship that lies deep in the heart of the giver."
